YOUR JOURNEY IS YOUR JOURNEY

Comparison can make you admire another person’s harvest while neglecting your own field.

You see someone else’s progress and suddenly yours feels too slow. You see their opportunity and begin questioning yours. You see their success and wonder why your own journey looks different.

But God has not called you to reproduce somebody else’s life.

Paul says, “Let every man prove his own work.” Your responsibility is to be faithful with what God has placed in your hands.

Someone may be ahead of you in one area and behind you in another. You may not know the preparation behind another person’s visible success, just as they may not know what God is developing in you.

Learn from people without becoming obsessed with them.

Celebrate their progress without despising yours.

Improve yourself without constantly measuring yourself against someone else.

Your assignment is personal.
Your season is personal.
Your journey is personal.

So stop looking sideways when God is asking you to look forward.

Tend your field. Develop your gifts. Strengthen your walk with God. Keep moving.

You do not need another person’s harvest to prove that God is working in your life. Be faithful with your own assignment.

WHAT YOU VALUE, YOU MUST PROTECT

Growth requires more than starting well. It requires knowing what must be protected.

You can begin a good habit and then allow distractions to destroy it. You can build trust and then damage it through careless behaviour. You can receive an opportunity and then neglect the discipline required to sustain it.

That is why Scripture says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence.”

Your heart influences your decisions, attitudes, relationships and responses. What repeatedly enters your heart can eventually influence what comes out of your life.

So if you are asking God for greater fruitfulness, do not only ask:

“What should I add?”

Also ask:

“What should I protect?”

Protect your relationship with God.

Protect your integrity.

Protect your peace.

Protect your time.

Protect your family relationships.

Protect the habits that are helping you grow.

Not everything deserves unlimited access to you.

Some conversations drain you. Some environments weaken your discipline. Some distractions quietly consume hours. Some habits may look harmless but repeatedly move you away from what matters.

Wisdom does not mean becoming suspicious of everything. It means becoming intentional about what you allow to influence you.

Fruitfulness can be lost through neglect just as easily as it can be developed through diligence. So guard what God is growing in you.

If God is developing your prayer life, protect it.

If God is strengthening your character, protect it.

If God has given you an assignment, protect the time and discipline required to fulfil it.

If God is restoring your peace, protect your heart from unnecessary turmoil.

You have spent time building certain things.

Protect them.

🌅 MORNING ENCOUNTER

DIRECTION MATTERS MORE THAN SPEED

We live in a culture that celebrates speed.

Fast results.
Fast decisions.
Fast growth.
Fast success.

But moving quickly does not automatically mean moving forward.

You can run in the wrong direction. You can rush into an opportunity that God never assigned to you. You can make a decision simply because you are uncomfortable waiting. You can become so focused on reaching the destination that you fail to ask whether you are travelling the right road.

Speed is useful when direction is correct.

Ecclesiastes reminds us that there is a season and a time for every purpose. That means wisdom sometimes requires movement—and sometimes requires patience.

Do not compare your timeline with somebody else’s.

Their season is not your season.
Their opportunity is not your assignment.
Their pace is not your measure.

Your responsibility is to walk faithfully with God and respond appropriately to the season you are in.

If it is time to move, move.

If it is time to prepare, prepare.

If it is time to learn, learn.

If it is time to wait, wait.

Fruitfulness is not measured by how quickly you arrive. It is measured by whether you arrive where God intended you to be.

So before you accelerate, check your direction.

Before you make the next major move, seek wisdom.

Before you become frustrated with your pace, ask whether God is developing something in you along the way.

You may not be behind.

You may simply be on a different timetable.

Walk with God. Let Him order your steps.

Some things God is doing in your life may look small right now—but small is not the same as insignificant.

A seed looks small before it becomes a tree. A single step may appear ordinary, yet it can begin a journey that changes everything. The danger is not always having a small beginning; sometimes the danger is despising it.

Do not despise the small prayer.
Do not despise the small opportunity.
Do not despise the little progress.
Do not despise the quiet season of preparation.

God can take what appears insignificant and breathe His purpose upon it.

What looks small in your hands can become significant when it is surrendered to God.

🌅 GOD IS STILL WORKING — FIRESTREAMS DAILY DEVOTIONAL (DAY 22)

📖 Romans 8:28 (KJV)

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

When You Cannot See What God Is Doing

Sometimes life takes a turn you did not expect.

A door closes.

A plan changes.

An answer seems delayed.

You prayed, believed and hoped—but things did not happen the way you imagined.

In moments like these, it is easy to ask, “God, what are You doing?”

But just because you cannot see His hand does not mean He has stopped working.

God is still working.

Romans 8:28 does not say that everything that happens is good. It tells us that God can cause all things to work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

The Process May Not Make Sense Yet

Joseph experienced the pit before the palace.

He experienced betrayal before promotion.

He experienced the prison before fulfilment.

At different points in his journey, it may have appeared that everything was going wrong.

But God was still working.

What looked like a delay became part of the preparation.

What looked like rejection became part of the journey.

Your present chapter may not make sense yet, but it is not necessarily the end of your story.

Sometimes God is preparing you.

Sometimes He is redirecting you.

Sometimes He is protecting you from something you cannot yet see.

And sometimes, He is working in ways that only become clear when you look back.

Keep Trusting the One Who Sees the Whole Picture

You do not need to understand everything before you trust God.

You may not see the full picture, but God does.

Your responsibility is to keep walking with Him.

Keep trusting.

Keep obeying.

Keep believing.

Not seeing the full plan does not mean that nothing is happening.

Father, thank You because You are still working in my life. When I do not understand the process, help me to trust Your heart. Give me patience when answers seem delayed, faith when the road is unclear and strength to keep walking with You.
