πŸŒ… WHEN GOD OPENS THE RIGHT DOOR – FIRESTREAMS DAILY DEVOTIONAL (DAY 10)

πŸ“– TODAY’S SCRIPTURE β€” REVELATION 3:8 (KJV)

β€œI know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”

πŸŒ… MORNING ENCOUNTER

Not every open door is the right door.

Sometimes we become so eager for change that we rush through the first opportunity that appears. We may accept a proposal without seeking wisdom, enter a relationship without discernment, or pursue an opportunity simply because we are tired of waiting. But restoration requires more than opportunity; it requires direction.

In Revelation 3:8, the Lord speaks of an open door that no man can shut. This reminds us that God is able to make a way for His people. Yet we must remain prayerful and discerning as we recognise and respond to the opportunities before us.

God can open doors that lead into new seasons, new relationships, new responsibilities and new possibilities. Sometimes the opportunity begins with a simple conversation, a fresh idea, a small assignment or a step of obedience that appears insignificant.

Do not despise small beginnings.

When an opportunity comes, pray. Pay attention. Seek wisdom. Examine whether the decision aligns with God’s Word, your responsibilities and the direction in which you are growing. Then move forward with faith and diligence.

An open door does not mean you must abandon wisdom. Faith and discernment work together. You can trust God while asking questions, seeking godly counsel and preparing yourself to handle new responsibilities well.

Perhaps you have experienced closed doors and painful disappointments. Do not allow yesterday’s rejection to make you fearful of tomorrow’s possibilities. Neither should past disappointment make you accept everything that comes your way.

The right door does not need to be forced.

Ask God for discernment so that impatience does not choose for you. Remain faithful where you are, prepare for what you desire to do, and be ready to act when a suitable opportunity presents itself.

God is able to guide your steps. Walk forward with prayer, wisdom and confidence in Him.

Order my steps and let my choices honour You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
