TOPIC: The Necessity Of God’s Power

SCRIPTURE: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anyone who carries the Presence of God carries power.

We live in a terrible world where there is the abundance of wickedness. To live without the power of God in this world is to end as a victim in the hands of the wicked. In our study today, we shall look at six objectives of God’s power. Why do we need God’s power?

The defeat of enemy resistance.
The Master, Jesus Christ, had remained on the same spot for a long time until the power of God came upon Him, and the enemy resistance was defeated (Acts 10:38).
The release of motion.
Our anchor scripture said that He went about (Acts 10:38). Resistance defeated, then motion released.
The initiation of action.
Where something is not working, they are made to work when the power of God is available.
The enforcement of the goodness of God.
Acts 10:38 says that Jesus went about doing good. When the power of God is in manifestation, the goodness of God is enforced.
The activation of potentials.

The assignment of the power of God is the activation of potential. Jesus carried the healing power that was not obvious until power was released (Acts 10:38).
The arrest of enemy wickedness.
Jesus was healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38).
Now, what is the major secret of power?
a. The Presence of God.
Anyone who carries the Presence of God carries power. Jesus did all He did because God was with Him (Acts 10:38).
b. The passion to do the Will of God.

Beloved, if you carry His presence and you are passionate about His Will, then you are set to see His Power.

REMEMBER THIS: Anyone who carries the Presence of God carries power.

ASSIGNMENTS:

Maintain an unbroken fellowship with God.
Avoid a lifestyle of sin.
Make demands on God’s power today.


PRAYER: Lord, I receive more of Your power in my life. Let Your power break every enemy resistance. Activate my motion in life; unleash the potentials in me, and arrest every trace of the wickedness of hell around my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE CHOICE TO FULFIL YOUR DAYS

Life is a game of choices.

SCRIPTURE: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Life is a game of choices.

You are welcome to the month of December, the last month in the year 2021. In this month, you shall recover all that is yours from the beginning of the year that could not enter your hand before this time in Jesus’ Name. You shall see the end of this year and cross over into next year with evidences of the faithfulness and goodness of God in Jesus’ Name.

Today, we shall be looking at the choice you have in the matter of fulfilling your days on earth despite the various confrontations in our world today.

I remember meeting a man many years ago. He was hanging between life and death and was talking the way people talk when they are about to go. I had seen that individual in a revelation where it was like his life was hanging on a thread. While he was on admission in the hospital, he was almost gone. I looked at him and told him: “You have to live; it is not easy for someone else to take care of another person’s children.” I said, “Live so you can take care of your children.”

He said that statement fired something into him like an arrow. He jerked back to health out of that sickbed within days. The diagnosis of death that put him in that situation was reversed. That death-inflicting condition was completely cleared from his system because he heard something that re-enforced his choice to live and fulfil his days.

Beloved, life is a game of choices; it is a product of choices. Everything about life is a choice. You have a choice in the matter of fulfilling your days; a choice that no witch can cut your life short; no agenda or plot of hell, and no affliction can cut your life short. Yes! You have a choice.

Now, I curse every demon of premature death; every arrow from the pit of hell fired against you, I retrieve it and re-fire it back to senders in the Name of Jesus.

Remember this: Life is a game of choices.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Determine to live no matter the confrontation of the enemy.
  2. Make positive declarations concerning your life consistently.
  3. Consistently plead the Blood of Jesus over your life and family.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your preservation power over my life and family. By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I declare the frustration of every agenda of hell against my life and destiny. I have made the choice to live and fulfil my days, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: The Acceptable Service To God

Serving God in depression is not only a waste of service but also an attraction of problems.

SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 28:47-48.

 Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Serving God in depression is not only a waste of service but also an attraction of problems.

The Scripture makes it clear that we are created by God for His pleasure (Revelation 4:11), and we are created to show forth His praise.

Isaiah 43:21 says, This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. Now, service is one way to show forth the praise of God. As believers, we have been created and redeemed by God to serve Him.

How then do we serve God? What is the acceptable form of service to God?

1. Service to God must be done joyfully.

Service to God must be done joyfully to be acceptable by God.

Our anchor Scripture, Deuteronomy 28:47-48, makes it clear that if we don’t serve God with the whole of our heart, we will serve our enemies. And these enemies are hunger, thirst, nakedness, and bondage. God forbid! Serving God in depression is not only a waste of service but also an attraction of problems. To serve in depression is both to waste the service and attract problems to your life.

So, it is better not to serve at all than to be serving God in sadness.

2. Service to God must be done fervently and passionately.

Romans 12:11 says, Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit serving the Lord.  Serve God with fire. Serve God with enthusiasm, optimism, and positivism. Let people catch fire when they come near you. Sing with fire. Give counsel with fire. Usher people in church with fire. Pray with fire.  My counsel is, refuse to be a lukewarm Christian. The approved frequency for Kingdom service is the frequency of fire.

Remember this: Serving God in depression is not only a waste of service but also an attraction of problems.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Make up your mind to serve God joyfully. Refuse to serve God in depression.

2. Be fervent in spirit in anything you do for God.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me the acceptable way of serving You. I receive the grace to serve You joyfully and passionately, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE TRUTH THAT MAKES FREE

It is not head knowledge of God’s Word that changes life; it is the experiential knowledge of the Word of God that changes life.

Scripture: John 8:32

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Thought for The Day: It is not head knowledge of God’s Word that changes life; it is the experiential knowledge of the Word of God that changes life.

The Word of God is designed to change your life and that of your generation. The Bible is not meant to be a book for decoration. It is a Book that is meant to cause total transformation of life and destiny.

However, many people carry the Bible without being positively affected by it.

The question is: why is it that the Word of God has not produced much result in the lives of many people?

The answer is in John 8:32 which says,

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You see, some people misquote this Scripture by saying, “The truth shall set you free.” No. That is not what the Bible says.

The Bible says, “You shall know the truth and the truth that you know shall make you free.” Please take note of the word “Know”. The truth may not make you free if you don’t know it. It is the truth you know that makes you free. It is the truth that you have interacted with or experienced that makes you free.

Beloved, it is not head knowledge of the Word of God that changes life. It is the experiential knowledge of the Word of God that changes life. It is the truth that you have encountered or experienced that makes you free.

There are people who quote a particular Scripture in the face of turbulent situations and get the needed Divine intervention. But others may quote the same Scripture in the same situation and not see the same result. This is because the latter may not have known or interacted with the truth of the Word.

Beloved, determine to press for the revelation of the Word to experience a total transformation of your life.

Remember this: It is not the head knowledge of God’s Word that changes life. It is the experiential knowledge of the Word of God that changes life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Refuse to have just a head knowledge of the Scripture.

2. Press for the revelation of the Word for the transformation of your life by the help of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the revelation of Your Word. Open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: Praise And The Power For Increase

Praise is a secret of increase in life.

Scripture: Psalm 67:5-7

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Thought for The Day: Praise is a secret of increase in life.

You are welcome to the month of November 2021. This November is very significant to us as we shall be marking our 25th Anniversary as a Commission. The Lord has been faithful to us in multi-faceted dimensions in these twenty-five years. We give Him all the praise.

On this first day of the month of November 2021, we shall consider the subject of praise to show our appreciation to God for His faithfulness in our lives and in the Ministry for the past twenty-five years.

The subject of praise has been confirmed to be of critical importance to children of God. Praise is very important to life and destiny. If a person’s life must be profitable on earth, praise must not be ignored. There is power in praise.

One critical power of praise is that praise is key to accessing God and His Presence. God dwells in the life of a person who praises Him. God lives in or inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). This means, one who praises God is building a habitation or house for God to dwell in.

Praise also brings increase. Praise is pregnant with the power for increase. Our anchor Scripture makes it clear that praise is a secret of increase in life. When people praise God, the earth yields her increase.

If there is anything in your life as a Christian that seems not to increase, praise is a key to its increase. For example, if you are an anointed servant of God and you are trusting God for a greater dimension of the anointing, praise is a key to that increase.

In any area of your life that you desire increase, praise is your pathway. The grace, fire, revelation, insight and favour of God on your life will increase when you understand and implement the principle of praise and worship.

Remember this: Praise is a secret of increase in life.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to praise God always.
  2. Allow nothing to keep you down.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You clothe me with the garment of praise. Help me to praise You at all times, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
