π MORNING ENCOUNTER
Sometimes, we ask God to restore what we have lost, but He may lead us into something beyond our original expectations.
When the disciples saw five loaves and two fishes, the available food appeared insufficient for the multitude. Yet, in the hands of Jesus, what looked small became more than enough. Their limitation did not limit His ability.
Perhaps disappointment has gradually reduced your expectations. You once prayed boldly, but repeated setbacks have made you cautious. You once believed that a particular door could open, but after waiting for so long, you have begun to give up. You once had great hopes for your future, but present circumstances have made those hopes seem unrealistic.
Today, remember that your past experience does not define the limits of God’s power.
This does not mean that every situation will unfold exactly as you imagine. It means you can continue trusting God’s wisdom, remain faithful to His Word and keep your heart open to possibilities beyond your present understanding.
Restoration does not always mean returning to precisely what you once had. Sometimes, God leads you into a different season, builds stronger foundations in your life or helps you discover a more fruitful direction.
Therefore, do not allow yesterday’s disappointment to silence today’s prayer.
Pray with faith. Work with wisdom. Remain obedient. Leave room for God to exceed what you imagined.
As you begin this Sunday, bring your hopes before the Lord again. Ask Him to renew your faith, direct your decisions and help you recognise the opportunities that may be different from what you originally expected.
The God you serve is not limited by what you can presently see.

Father, enlarge my faith and help me trust Your ability. Where disappointment has lowered my expectations, renew my hope and lead me into Your purpose. Give me wisdom to recognise new opportunities, courage to obey Your instructions and strength to keep moving forward. Let my life reflect Your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

My expectation is in God!
I will not limit His power by my past experiences.
I receive grace to believe, obey and move forward.
My heart is open to God’s direction and wisdom.
By His grace, I will recognise and embrace the opportunities He places before me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Write down one prayer you have almost stopped believing for because of disappointment or delay.
Bring it before God again today. Pray about it with renewed faith, then identify one wise, practical step you can take towards the desired outcome.
Do not focus only on what you cannot control. Be faithful with the steps you can take.

- Have past disappointments reduced my expectations?
- What am I trusting God for again?
- Am I willing to follow His direction even when I cannot see the whole picture?
Do not allow disappointment to become the voice that determines what you believe is possible. Let God’s Word renew your perspective.

Father, renew my faith tonight. Help me trust Your wisdom and remember that You are able to do beyond what I can see or imagine. Quiet my anxious thoughts, strengthen my heart and teach me to rest in Your faithfulness. Give me grace to follow Your direction, even when I cannot see the whole picture. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
