GOD MAKES ALL THINGS NEW β€” FIRESTREAMS DAILY DEVOTIONAL (DAY 28)

πŸŒ… MORNING ENCOUNTER

πŸ”₯ GOD MAKES ALL THINGS NEW

πŸ“– TODAY’S SCRIPTURE β€” REVELATION 21:5 (KJV)

β€œAnd he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”

YOUR PAST DOES NOT HAVE THE FINAL SAY!

There are seasons when you wish you could simply erase the past and start again. You may remember painful disappointments, mistakes, missed opportunities, broken relationships, or seasons when life did not turn out as you expected.

But God does not need to erase your history to give you a new beginning.

He can take what you have experienced, what you have learned, and even what has broken you, and lead you into something new.

The promise is powerful: β€œBehold, I make all things new.”

God is a God of renewal.

He can give you a new perspective after disappointment, new strength after weakness, new peace after turmoil, and new purpose after confusion.

Sometimes, the greatest challenge is not that God cannot do something new; it is that we remain so attached to the old that we struggle to recognise what is changing.

You may be praying for a new season while holding tightly to an old mindset. You may be asking God for new opportunities while allowing the fear of past failure to prevent you from taking the next step.

Do not spend all your energy trying to recreate yesterday. Look forward and ask God what He is doing now.

A new beginning does not mean that every difficulty disappears immediately. It means you can face the future with renewed faith, wiser decisions, and confidence in God’s ability to lead you.

There may be something new growing that you have not yet recognised. A fresh idea, a better habit, a renewed commitment, a restored sense of purpose, or an opportunity to do things differently may be waiting for your attention.

Do not allow the familiarity of the past to blind you to the possibilities of the future.

Your past is part of your story, but it does not have to control your future.

Today, ask the Lord to open your eyes to the new things He is bringing into your life. Be willing to learn, change, grow, and follow His direction.

When God begins something new, do not keep living as though nothing has changed.

πŸ’‘ FIRESTREAMS INSIGHT

When God begins something new, do not keep living as though nothing has changed.

πŸ™ TODAY’S PRAYER

Father, help me recognise the new things You are doing in my life. Give me grace to release the past and courage to embrace the future You are preparing for me. Renew my mind, strengthen my faith, and guide my decisions. Help me recognise new opportunities and respond with wisdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

✨ TODAY’S DECLARATION

God is doing a new thing in my life.

I receive new strength, new vision, new peace, and new opportunities.

I refuse to let yesterday’s disappointments control tomorrow’s possibilities.

My heart is open to God’s direction, and I am ready to grow.

By God’s grace, I move forward with renewed faith and purpose. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

🎯 TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT

Write down one old mindset or habit you need to leave behind and one new practice you will begin. Take a practical step towards that new practice today.

πŸ“– DAILY BIBLE READING

Old Testament: Jeremiah 19–21
New Testament: Galatians 6
Reading Cycle: 2

Read each chapter completely. Ask God to help you apply His Word to your decisions, character, relationships, and daily walk with Him.

πŸ’‘ DID YOU KNOW?

The Moon appears to change shape throughout the month because we see different portions of its sunlit side as it orbits Earth.

Life Lesson: What changes in appearance may still be part of the same ongoing process. Do not assume that every change means everything has gone wrong; take time to understand what is happening.

πŸ“œ TODAY IN HISTORY

28 OCTOBER 1886 β€” THE STATUE OF LIBERTY IS DEDICATED

On 28 October 1886, the Statue of Liberty was formally dedicated in New York Harbour. The monument, a gift from France to the United States, became a prominent symbol of liberty and hope.

Life Lesson: New beginnings can become lasting symbols of hope for generations. What begins as a single step today may have a positive influence far beyond what you can presently imagine.

πŸŒƒ NIGHT REFLECTION

As you prepare to end the day, reflect on these four questions:

  1. What new thing might God be beginning in my life?
  2. What old pattern or mindset do I need to leave behind?
  3. Am I willing to embrace the changes necessary for growth?
  4. What practical step can I take to cooperate with the new direction I believe God is leading me towards?

Take a few quiet moments to consider your answers and commit your next steps to God.

πŸ™ NIGHT PRAYER

Father, thank You for the hope of new beginnings. Help me recognise Your work and walk confidently into the new season You are bringing me into. Give me wisdom to leave behind what no longer helps me grow and courage to embrace the opportunities before me. Let my life reflect renewed faith, peace, and purpose. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

πŸŒ… TOMORROW’S JOURNEY…

DAY 29: LIVING IN THE REALITY OF RESTORATION

Tomorrow, we will learn how to live daily with gratitude, wisdom, and faith after experiencing God’s restoring work.

Remember: A new beginning becomes meaningful when you allow it to change how you think, live, and respond to the opportunities before you.

πŸ”₯ A FINAL WORD FOR TODAY

Beloved, do not let the failures of yesterday make you afraid of the possibilities of tomorrow.

God can renew your perspective after disappointment, strengthen you after weakness, and help you discover purpose after confusion.

Be willing to release old mindsets, embrace wise changes, and recognise opportunities for growth.

You do not need to have every answer today. Take the next faithful step, seek God’s wisdom, and trust Him as you move forward.

Your past is part of your story, but it does not have to control your future. Make room for a new beginning!
