Many people ask God for a new season, but few ask Him for a new heart.
Yet God is more interested in changing us than changing our circumstances.
David prayed one of the most sincere prayers in the Bible. After recognising his failures, he did not ask God for wealth, success or influence. He asked for a clean heart.
He understood that lasting change begins within.
A renewed heart produces renewed thoughts.
Renewed thoughts produce renewed actions.
Renewed actions produce a transformed life.
God prepares us inwardly before He promotes us outwardly.
As you complete your first week of this journey, ask yourself:
- Am I becoming more like Christ?
- Is my heart growing in love, humility, patience and obedience?
God wants to do more than improve your circumstances this month.
He wants to transform your character.
When your heart is right with God, you are prepared for every new season He brings.
