One of the greatest barriers to a new beginning is an unwillingness to let go of yesterday.
Some people are held captive by painful memories. Others are trapped by past failures, broken relationships, missed opportunities or even past successes.
The Apostle Paul refused to allow his past to determine his future. Instead, he fixed his eyes on God’s calling and pressed forward.
Leaving yesterday behind does not mean pretending it never happened. It means refusing to allow it to control today’s decisions.
Forgive yourself.
Forgive others.
Learn the lesson.
Trust God’s grace.
Then keep moving.
Every new day is proof that God is not finished writing your story.
