📖 DP FIRESTREAMS – MORNING DEVOTIONAL (August 17)
With Pastor Adewole Adenubi

🔥 Theme: The God Who Turns Captivity Around

📜 Scripture Focus:
“When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.” – Psalm 126:1 (KJV)

🔍 Deep Revelation for Today

There are seasons when life feels like a prison, where prayers seem delayed, and breakthrough looks impossible. But the God we serve is the God of sudden turnarounds. He doesn’t just deliver; He transforms captivity into testimony.

When God steps in, impossibility becomes laughter, delay becomes acceleration, and shame is swallowed up in glory. What took years of pain can be overturned in a single divine moment, and men will marvel, saying, “This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.”

Every captivity has an expiry date. The night of sorrow gives way to a morning of joy. The chains of stagnation are never eternal; when the divine hand moves, those chains must break. Get ready — your story is shifting from bondage to freedom.

📜 Biblical Illustrations
Joseph was once a prisoner in Pharaoh’s dungeon, but in a single day, God turned his captivity around and enthroned him as governor of Egypt (Genesis 41).
The Israelites were slaves in Egypt for 430 years, but in one night of Passover, God broke their chains and led them out with silver, gold, and favour (Exodus 12:41).

💡 Key Points to Note
• God’s turnarounds are often sudden and supernatural.
• No captivity is permanent when the Lord arises.
• Testimonies that sound like dreams are the evidence of God’s intervention.
