βWait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.β
π MORNING ENCOUNTER
Delay can test your faith.
You prayed, expected movement and prepared yourself for an answer. Yet the situation remains unchanged. You may have wondered whether God has heard you, whether your opportunity has passed, or whether the promise you received will ever become a reality.
But a delay is not necessarily a denial.
David’s instruction is clear: βWait on the LORD.β Waiting requires courage because you must continue trusting God when you cannot see the outcome. It is easy to celebrate when answers come quickly; the deeper test comes when you must remain faithful without knowing how long the process will take.
Sometimes God uses the waiting season to prepare you for what you have been praying for. He may strengthen your character, deepen your faith, develop your patience or redirect your steps. What feels like a frustrating pause may become a season in which your spiritual foundations grow stronger.
Do not allow delay to make you abandon hope.
Keep praying. Keep preparing. Keep obeying.
Do not let disappointment make you careless with the responsibilities God has placed in your hands. Continue to work faithfully, make wise decisions and remain sensitive to His direction. Waiting on God does not mean doing nothing; it means refusing to abandon faith while continuing to walk in obedience.
Beloved, God is not limited by the length of your waiting season. You may not control the timing of every answer, but you can choose to remain faithful while you wait.
What feels late to you is still within God’s ability to restore. Let your heart be strengthened today. Your present circumstances do not have to become the final chapter of your story.
Your responsibility is to remain faithful; trust God with what you cannot yet see.

Father, give me grace to trust You when answers seem delayed. Strengthen my heart, keep my faith alive and help me remain obedient while I wait. Deliver me from discouragement, impatience and fear. Teach me to recognise Your direction and to use this season wisely. Let every experience produce spiritual growth in my life, and lead me into Your perfect purpose. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I will not lose hope because of delay.
My heart is strengthened, and my faith remains alive.
I will continue to pray, prepare and obey God.
I trust His wisdom, His faithfulness and His timing.
My season of waiting will not destroy my faith, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Identify one delayed expectation. Instead of worrying about it today, spend five minutes praying and thanking God for His faithfulness. Then identify one practical, responsible step you can take while you wait.
