You may not realise it, but what surrounds you can influence where you are going.
The people you listen to.
The conversations you repeatedly participate in.
The ideas you continually consume.
Over time, these things can shape your attitudes, decisions and direction.
📖 TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” — 1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV)
The Bible also says:
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” — Proverbs 13:20 (KJV)
🌱 WHAT SURROUNDS YOU CAN SHAPE YOU
Ask yourself honestly:
Who has regular access to your thinking?
Who challenges you to grow?
Who encourages your faith?
Who makes excellence look normal?
Who helps you become more disciplined?
This does not mean abandoning everyone who is different from you. Jesus Himself interacted with all kinds of people.
But you should be intentional about who influences you deeply.
If you want to grow, spend time around people who value growth.
If you want wisdom, listen to wise voices.
If you want spiritual strength, cultivate relationships that strengthen your walk with God.
If you want excellence, learn from people who take responsibility seriously.
🔥 PROTECT YOUR DIRECTION
You may not be able to change everything around you today.
But you can choose what receives your attention.
You can choose whose voice receives your trust.
You can become intentional about the influences you permit to shape your thinking.
Fruitfulness becomes easier to sustain when your environment supports the values you are trying to develop.
Your environment matters.
And so does your influence on others.
