TOTAL RESTORATION β Nothing Missing, Nothing Broken
There are seasons when disappointment makes you afraid to hope again. After waiting for something that did not happen, experiencing loss, or watching a plan fail, the heart can become tired. You may begin protecting yourself by expecting less.
But David spoke to his own soul:
βWhy art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.β
β Psalm 42:5 (KJV) FIRESTREAMS DAILY DEVOTIONAL_ Oβ¦
Hope does not mean pretending that everything is fine. It means believing that God is still present and your story is not finished.
What disappointed you does not have to define your future.
Lift your heart again.
Pray again.
Believe again.
The God who carried you through yesterday is still with you today.
